01 — What we have built

Built the way the best energy businesses are built, and the way this family has built them for four generations.

By operators who think like owners, and owners who understand the asset. Ninety-six years, without leaving the business.

Haynesville East Texas / North Louisiana

Play extent and generalised shale thickness, after published regional studies. Western Haynesville hatched; Shelby Trough development area with Black Stone Minerals shaded. Hover any parish or county.

Boundaries: U.S. Census Bureau. Play definition: U.S. EIA. Thickness generalised; not proprietary data.

Over successive funds we deployed more than $15 billion of equity and development capital, growing the platform into one of the largest private natural gas producers in the United States, at its peak supplying a meaningful share of domestic production.

We did not stop at production. We built the marketing, trading, and infrastructure businesses around it, the verticals that turn a collection of assets into a durable enterprise.

And we understood that building well is only half of the discipline. Bringing a leading strategic partner into our core Haynesville assets was not an exit. It was the realization of a thesis executed over years, at the moment of our choosing, and proof of the judgment that separates a great operator from a great investor.

We remain invested in the business we built, alongside our partners. We did not walk away from the asset; we chose who to build it with. That judgment, and the team behind it, is what we bring to what comes next.
